The Canadian Securities Administrators published its 2025-2026 Year in Review, covering progress during the first year of its 2025-2028 Business Plan. Work between July 1, 2025, and June 30, 2026, focused on supporting competitive capital markets, reducing unnecessary regulatory burden and maintaining investor protection. The review highlights coordinated securities enforcement and efforts to combat increasingly sophisticated online fraud, alongside consultations, rule changes, blanket orders and guidance intended to promote efficient markets and improve access to capital. It also covers support for innovation through the Financial Innovation Hub, work on emerging technologies, regulatory modernization and stronger domestic and international coordination.
