The Cayman Islands Monetary Authority has extended the Anti-Money Laundering Return requirement to Restricted Trust Companies and Private Trust Companies. The return will provide entity level data for the authority’s risk based supervision of the fiduciary sector for anti-money laundering, counterterrorist financing and counterproliferation financing purposes. The initial return will be issued through the Strix software on Nov. 1, 2026, covering information as of Dec. 31, 2025. In scope entities must submit the completed return by Dec. 31, 2026, and ensure their contact information held by the authority is accurate so the appropriate representatives receive it. After the initial exercise, Restricted Trust Companies and Private Trust Companies will join the existing Anti-Money Laundering Return cycle for the Trust and Corporate Services Providers sector. Subsequent returns will be issued on June 1 each year unless the authority advises otherwise.
