The Spanish Securities Commission (CNMV) announced that the 11th Financial Education Day will take place on 6 October under the slogan “Get informed. Plan. Decide”, with the main event hosted at the CNMV’s Barcelona headquarters and streamed via finanzasparatodos.es. The initiative is part of the Financial Education Plan promoted by the CNMV, the Bank of Spain and Spain’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Enterprise, with support from collaborating entities. The event is designed to raise public awareness of the value of personal finance knowledge, highlighting financial planning as a basis for better economic decision-making across life stages. Speakers include CNMV Chair Carlos San Basilio, Bank of Spain Deputy Governor Soledad Núñez, and the Director General of the Treasury and Financial Policy Carla Díaz, alongside other participating institutions, with athlete Saúl Craviotto set to address financial planning during his career. The programme also includes the presentation of the Finanzas Para Todos awards to INVERCO (best track record) and BANKIDU (best initiative), and the final of the School Financial Education Contest, which adds a new cadet category.
