The Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market of the Republic of Kazakhstan has reissued licences to ADCB Islamic Bank JSC and Islamic Bank Zaman-Bank JSC to conduct banking and other operations performed by Islamic banks. The reissuances reflect changes to the names of the relevant banking and other operations, rather than a newly stated expansion of activities. Separate deputy chair orders dated 15 May 2026 reissued the licence for each bank. In both cases, the agency stated that the licences were reissued because the names of the banking and other operations carried out by Islamic banks had changed.
