The Jordan Securities Commission has updated the governance and administration of its financial legislation exam to improve how it assesses the regulatory knowledge and professional competence of people working in or seeking to enter financial services. The changes cover the preparation, review and approval of questions, as well as application procedures, exam administration and results evaluation. A new exam session held on Sept. 30 included 39 candidates seeking to work in financial services in the domestic market or on foreign exchanges. Approved results showed a 59% pass rate. The exam complements examinations offered by the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment, and candidates who pass both may seek authorization through licensed financial services firms for roles including compliance officer, investment manager, issuance manager, custodian, financial adviser and investment trustee.
