Commodity Futures Trading Commission Acting Chairman Caroline D. Pham issued a statement welcoming the House of Representatives’ action on digital asset legislation, highlighting passage of the GENIUS Act and further advancement of the CLARITY Act as a proposed regulatory framework for digital asset markets. Pham said the GENIUS Act is headed to the President’s desk and described House action on the CLARITY Act as an important step toward establishing long-awaited market regulation. She added that the CFTC is prepared to carry out its mission in overseeing its markets, and she congratulated relevant congressional committee leaders and other lawmakers involved.
