The Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market of the Republic of Kazakhstan published consumer guidance on credit reports, explaining that each citizen can obtain one personal credit report free once per calendar year. The report covers all loans and borrowings issued to an individual or legal entity, along with repayment timeliness, and forms from the moment the first loan is taken out. The agency notes that this record is used by banks, microfinance organizations and other financial institutions when assessing new credit applications, and that a positive credit history can improve access to future borrowing and loan terms. Reports can be obtained through the First Credit Bureau website or mobile application, the eGov.kz portal, public service centers, Kazpost branches, the First Credit Bureau office and the State Credit Bureau. If the report contains inaccurate information, such as a repaid debt still shown as outstanding or a delay recorded on a fully settled loan, consumers should contact the relevant bank or microfinance organization and provide supporting documents. Where overdue debt data appear in records held by First Credit Bureau LLP, the information can also be disputed free on the bureau's website. The agency also recommends activating the Credit History Monitoring service through eGov.kz or the First Credit Bureau's digital channels to receive alerts on changes such as new loans, payment delays and debt balance changes.
