The Thailand Office of Insurance Commission has announced the winners of its InsurTech Award 2026, selecting technology solutions designed to address emerging, aging society, disaster and digital risks. More than 500 teams entered the initiative, which was launched as an incubation program with six industry and public-sector partners. Ten finalists competed across student and general categories for THB 500,000 in total prizes. Student-category winner SufferpuffGirls developed a continuous monitoring system that predicts fire risks from electrical abnormalities in factories and retains digital evidence for insurers’ risk assessments. General-category winner BURT-BDMS Utilization Review Technology created an artificial intelligence system that helps hospitals and insurers assess the necessity and appropriateness of treatment using common standards. The commission and its partners will support participants through business matching with insurers, connections to funding, specialist advice and student internships. This follow-on program is intended to move promising prototypes beyond the competition and into practical insurance-sector use.
