The Bank of Portugal issued a warning that Dalton Lopes Tome de Sousa Pontes (taxpayer identification number 289478197) is not authorised to carry out in Portugal any financial activity reserved for institutions supervised by the Bank of Portugal, including the provision of payment services such as money remittance. It noted that, under the Legal Framework for Payment Services and Electronic Money (Decree-Law No 91/2018 of 12 November), payment services in Portugal may only be provided by authorised entities, and it pointed to the list of authorised payment service providers available on the Bank of Portugal’s website.
