The Brazilian Superintendence of Private Insurance (SUSEP), acting as chair of the Brazilian Forum for Financial Education (FBEF), has made the agenda for the 12th National Financial Education Week (Semana ENEF) available and opened the process for entities to register their initiatives. The event will run from 12 to 18 May and will focus on “Financial Education for Children and Young People: Preparing Society for Conscious Choices”. Organised by the FBEF, Semana ENEF is positioned as a nationwide programme to promote financial, insurance, pension and tax education through free initiatives across Brazil. Activities may include disseminating basic financial knowledge from early ages, training educators, fostering school and family dialogue, and encouraging healthy financial habits among young people. Registered initiatives are expected to follow the National Financial Education Strategy guidelines, including prioritising the public interest and prohibiting the offering of products and services during activities. SUSEP’s rotating chairmanship of the FBEF is set to run until June 2026.
