The Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo reported that Governor Ahmet Ismaili participated as a panellist at an international high-level conference in Tirana on reforming Albania’s pension system, organised by Albania’s Financial Supervisory Authority and the Ministry of Economy, Culture and Innovation in cooperation with the World Bank. During a panel on pensions and defined contribution schemes, Ismaili outlined the central bank’s approach to regulating and supervising the pension sector, highlighting its systemic importance for financial stability. He emphasised investment security and the protection of contributors as key priorities under the legal and regulatory framework, and discussed possible reform areas for developing pensions and voluntary insurance, including digitalisation, product expansion, financial education and inclusion, supported by prudent policies.
