The Australian Securities & Investments Commission (ASIC) has issued a permanent banning order against former Western Australia-based financial adviser Neville Allan Kendrick, preventing him from participating in the Australian financial services industry. The order prohibits Mr Kendrick from providing any financial services, performing any function involved in carrying on a financial services business, and controlling an entity that carries on a financial services business. ASIC found he provided financial services while not licensed or authorised, made materially misleading statements to induce investors, and acted dishonestly by making false statements, and it formed the view that he lacks the fitness and propriety, and the training and competence, required to participate in the industry. The ban took effect from 22 April 2025 and has been recorded on ASIC’s banned and disqualified register. Mr Kendrick may apply to the Administrative Review Tribunal for a review of ASIC’s decision.
