The Hong Kong Monetary Authority reported that Hong Kong’s official foreign currency reserve assets increased to USD 447.8 billion at the end of July 2026 from USD 445.9 billion at the end of June. The reserves represented more than five times the currency in circulation and about 38% of Hong Kong dollar M3. There were no unsettled foreign exchange contracts at the end of either month.
