The Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo reported that a joint delegation from the central bank and Kosovo’s Financial Intelligence Unit carried out an official study visit to Malta, meeting counterparts at the Central Bank of Malta, the Malta Financial Services Authority and Malta’s Financial Intelligence Unit. The visit centred on exchanging experience, good practices and technical knowledge on supervision, enforcement and financial intelligence analysis. The programme was organised under the European Union and Council of Europe Project against Economic Crime in Kosovo (PECK III) and was framed as supporting stronger regional and international cooperation to combat organised crime and money laundering, while strengthening institutional capacity in line with European standards. The delegation thanked the Maltese authorities for their cooperation and noted the Council of Europe’s ongoing support through PECK III.
