The Rwanda Capital Markets Authority published an update on its partnership with the University of Lay Adventists of Kigali to host the Capital Market Youth Forum 2025 at UNILAK’s Kigali campus, as part of the capital market industry’s nationwide roadshows aimed at promoting saving and informed investment among young people. Held under the theme “The Next Generation of Investors,” the forum brought together market practitioners to cover the basics of saving and investment and to present opportunities within Rwanda’s capital-market ecosystem. CMA Strategic Advisor Dr. James Ndahiro highlighted youth financial empowerment, prudent saving habits and well-researched investment decision-making, while UNILAK’s Faculty of Economic Sciences and Management framed the event as a link between academic study and market engagement; the programme also included a question-and-answer session that generated demand for follow-up activities. The authority positioned the Capital Market Youth Forum and the wider Up-Country Roadshows as core components of its outreach campaign to build tertiary-level students’ knowledge and readiness to participate in Rwanda’s capital market.
