The Asia/Pacific Group on Money Laundering (APG) has reported that more than 40 newly trained assessors are ready to contribute to the global fifth round of mutual evaluations. Their training focuses on assessing jurisdictions’ compliance with Financial Action Task Force (FATF) Standards and the effectiveness of measures against money laundering, terrorist financing and proliferation financing. The assessor workshop runs from October 19-23, 2026, in Manila, hosted by the Philippines’ Anti-Money Laundering Council and its Secretariat alongside the APG. Participants applied the FATF Assessment Methodology through discussions and practical exercises reflecting the challenges of conducting mutual evaluations. The additional assessors will support the APG’s evaluation program as members progress through the fifth round.
