Thailand Office of Insurance Commission, together with the Securities and Exchange Commission and Bank of Thailand, has opened applications for the MASTER PROTECT & WEALTH BOARD GAME HACKATHON 2026. The initiative seeks board game prototypes that turn financial planning, investment and insurance concepts into learning tools for Thai youth and the wider public through a play-based format. The hackathon is structured around three core themes: money management and financial discipline, wealth building through investment, and risk management through insurance. It is open to a broad range of participants, including students, teachers, educators, game creators, finance enthusiasts and the general public. After prototype development, Thailand Office of Insurance Commission plans to push selected games into practical use as learning media in schools, libraries and other learning spaces nationwide. This year’s games are also intended to be easier to play and shorter in duration. The authority also plans to hold a national OIC Board Game Tournament 2026 for participating educational institutions and the public, with prize money and commemorative trophies. Applications are open from June 15 to July 10, 2026. First-round selections will be announced on July 13, and Hackathon Day will take place on July 18 and 19.
