The Central Bank of Bahrain reported that Governor Khalid Humaidan participated in the 85th meeting of the Committee of Central Bank Governors of the Gulf Cooperation Council and chaired the 64th meeting of the Gulf Monetary Council’s Board of Directors in Kuwait. The meetings brought together GCC central bank governors to review recommendations and approve decisions aimed at strengthening financial integration and enhancing cooperation across the region’s financial and banking sectors. A delegation of senior Central Bank of Bahrain officials and Bahrain financial services representatives also attended the second Annual Conference to Enhance GCC Joint Action, which focused on financial stability amid increasing global fragmentation and on adopting artificial intelligence applications in central banking alongside the necessary governance frameworks.
