The Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan held an awareness-raising event for representatives of non-bank credit organisations focused on the State Register of Encumbrances of Movable Property, positioning it as part of efforts to improve access to finance, support financial inclusion, and contribute to relevant assessments under the World Bank Group’s Business Ready report “Financial services” indicator. The session covered the Register’s role in supporting a movable asset-based financing ecosystem and included discussions on its operation. Participants were briefed on the platform’s online capabilities for registering, searching, amending, and terminating encumbrances, as well as on opportunities offered by the legal framework for movable asset-based financing, and were also introduced to the central bank’s electronic financial literacy resources.
