Argentina’s Superintendency of Insurance published operational guidance for stakeholders affected by the liquidation of Galeno Aseguradora de Riesgos del Trabajo S.A. (Galeno ART), setting out how to serve judicial notifications, submit court writs and lodge creditor claims, and how worker medical and cash benefits will be handled through the statutory Reserve Fund. Judicial notifications must be directed to the appointed liquidators, while court writs relating to Galeno ART or the Reserve Fund must be submitted via the Superintendency’s remote procedures platform. For the formal recognition of claims against the insurer in liquidation, creditors may file a “timely verification of credits” application through the same platform until 10 June 2026. To maintain continuity of medical and monetary benefits that ceased due to the liquidation, the Superintendency, acting as administrator of the Reserve Fund under Article 34 of Law 24,557, contracted SML Consultores Médicos S.A. through an urgent direct procurement process to manage and administer those benefits, with inquiries to be channelled through the outsourced provider’s service channels.
