The Central Bank of Jordan has launched a multi-stakeholder workshop to conduct the midterm review of the 2023–2028 National Financial Inclusion Strategy. The review will assess implementation progress and impact, identify challenges and gaps, and determine priorities and actions for the strategy’s remaining period. Participants will review timelines, performance indicators and institutional responsibilities, with the aim of producing practical recommendations and clear implementation commitments. By the end of 2028, the strategy targets financial account ownership among adults of 65%, a reduction in the gender gap in account ownership to 12%, and account ownership among micro, small and medium-sized enterprises of 75%. The workshops will continue with representatives from government, the financial and banking sectors, private businesses, civil society and international partner organizations.
