The National Bank of Ukraine published NBU Depository statistics showing that the government raised UAH 204,799.5 million, USD 452.0 million and EUR 294.9 million through domestic government debt securities auctions in January to June 2026, while redeeming UAH 180,535.0 million, USD 650.0 million and EUR 188.8 million. From the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion through 30 June 2026, primary auctions raised UAH 1,686,915.2 million, USD 11,243.3 million and EUR 3,542.1 million, against redemptions of UAH 1,175,689.2 million, USD 12,145.3 million and EUR 3,110.3 million. The release also detailed investor holdings. Legal persons held the equivalent of UAH 1,154.6 billion in domestic government debt securities as of 1 June 2026, individuals held UAH 150.0 billion as of 1 July 2026 and non-residents held UAH 17.8 billion. Within war bonds, primary dealers remained the largest holders. The portfolio owned by legal persons excluding banks fell to the equivalent of UAH 89.1 billion as of 1 July 2026 from UAH 114.1 billion a year earlier, while individual holdings rose to UAH 101.9 billion from UAH 76.6 billion. Non-residents held UAH 6,029.7 million, USD 11.0 million and EUR 10.0 million in war bonds, and the Ministry of Finance redeemed UAH 30,650 million of hryvnia war bonds in June 2026. The NBU also pointed to market-operating measures taken with the government, including settlement arrangements introduced in 2025 for auction placements combined with exchanges of outstanding domestic debt securities into other issues. In June 2026, the maximum auction yield was 16.15% a year for hryvnia-denominated bonds and 3.20% for euro-denominated bonds, with no U.S. dollar-denominated bonds offered.

As of 1 July 2026, individual holdings of war bonds had risen to the equivalent of UAH 101.9 billion from UAH 76.6 billion a year earlier, while holdings by legal persons excluding banks had fallen to UAH 89.1 billion. The Ministry of Finance redeemed UAH 30,650 million of hryvnia war bonds in June.
