The Bank of Cape Verde announced that it will issue a CVE 500 commemorative coin marking the 50th anniversary of the central bank’s establishment, to be put into circulation from 5 December under Decree-Law No. 32/2025. The coin will be released in three editions: a standard finish for circulation, a “Brilliant Uncirculated” version, and a numismatic proof version struck in gold and silver. The obverse and reverse designs are intended to reflect the Bank’s development and its role in monetary stability, monetary sovereignty, confidence in the financial system and financial inclusion.
