The Insurance and Private Pension Regulation and Supervision Agency of Türkiye has amended its rules on premium caps for compulsory motor third party liability insurance, setting the maximum premiums to be applied in May 2026 by reference to the caps applied in April 2026. Under the amended provision, maximum premiums by vehicle group and usage type will be increased by 0.50% for May 2026. For taxis, minibuses (10–17 seats including the driver) and buses (18–30 seats including the driver, and 31+ seats including the driver), the increase rate is set at 0.50% plus an additional 2%. The amended circular applies from 1 May 2026.
