The Brazil Securities Commission (CVM), together with the Ibero-American Institute of Securities Markets (IIMV) and Spain’s National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) and supported by B3, announced an in-person event in São Paulo on 7 November 2025 focused on the role of sustainable finance taxonomies in mobilising capital for sustainable development and the presentation of new Taxonomy Interoperability Principles. The Taxonomy Interoperability Principles were developed through a collaboration involving the Taskforce on Net Zero Policy, the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI), the UN Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI) and the Climate Bonds Initiative. The programme is structured around presentations and panels bringing together regulators, technical experts and market participants to discuss cross-jurisdiction consistency, practical use cases, and how interoperable classification systems can support more transparent and reliable capital allocation for sustainable growth and transition. The event will be held in English at Arena B3 from 14:00 to 18:00, with opening remarks scheduled from the Ministry of Finance’s Secretary of Economic Policy Guilherme Mello and CVM Acting Chair Otto Lobo, and participation from CVM Commissioner Marina Copola. Attendance is limited and requires registration. The forum is scheduled three days before the start of COP30 in Belém, Pará, which runs from 10 to 21 November.
