The Securities and Exchange Commission of Zimbabwe has published an update naming seven approved participants for its Regulatory Sandbox, allowing their fintech solutions to be tested in a controlled, supervised and time-limited environment under the commission's sandbox guidelines. The approved solutions span a blockchain-driven capital raising platform, asset and securities tokenisation platforms, a synthetic trading platform, a web-based crowdfunding platform and an infrastructure tokenisation platform. Approved participants are Zimbabwe Entrepreneurship Exchange, Ndarama Standard (Private) Limited, Questview Brokers (Private) Limited, Crowdaxe Capital (Private) Limited, Procode Platforms (Private) Limited, Financial Securities Exchange (Private) Limited and Colmin Resources Zimbabwe (Private) Limited. Participation is limited to testing the approved solutions within defined parameters and during a specified testing period under the commission's regulatory oversight, and any representations beyond that will be treated as misleading. The commission said it will continue to monitor and evaluate the testing of the approved participants and may issue further guidance, directives or requirements as necessary.
