The Australian Securities & Investments Commission has cancelled the Australian financial services licence of CAIP Services Pty Ltd, effective 8 July 2026, after finding the firm was no longer using the licence to provide financial services. ASIC based the action on section 915B(3)(a) of the Corporations Act 2001, which allows it to suspend or cancel a licence where the holder ceases to carry on a financial services business. CAIP Services Pty Ltd had held AFS licence number 432297 since 6 February 2013. The licence authorised the firm to deal in and provide financial product advice on general insurance and life risk insurance products for retail and wholesale clients. The company has the right to apply to the Administrative Review Tribunal for a review of ASIC's decision.
