The Insurance and Private Pension Regulation and Supervision Agency of Türkiye met with motor insurers to assess its action plan against organized groups that illegally obtain accident victims’ information and pressure them through persistent call-center contacts to grant powers of attorney for claims handling. The meeting reviewed results to date and discussed further measures ahead of the Sept. 1, 2026, launch of the Alo 193 Joint Claims Notification Center. Alo 193 will provide a single channel for citizens to report post-accident claims quickly and easily. The center forms part of a broader package of supervisory, regulatory, operational and technological measures that has also introduced improvements intended to make claims compensation processes faster and fairer.
