Central Bank of Türkiye expands interest rate statistics to include participation banks’ profit rates and new loan and deposit rate series

The Central Bank of Türkiye has expanded its interest rate statistical publication, which will now be released as “Interest Rate and Profit Rate Statistics”, adding new series that extend coverage to participation banks’ profit rates and additional bank and financing company rate indicators. The release is accompanied by a CBRT Blog post analysing participation banks’ profit rates. New series include participation banks’ profit rates on loans and participation accounts, financing companies’ monthly interest rates on stock loans, banks’ monthly interest rates on stock loans, banks’ interest rates on savings and commercial deposit accounts, and banks’ effective maximum interest rate on business loans.
