The Committee of Experts on the Evaluation of Anti-Money Laundering Measures (MONEYVAL) has launched its sixth-round mutual evaluation of Czechia, marking the start of the country’s assessment under MONEYVAL’s evaluation process. The launch included a high-level exchange involving MONEYVAL Chair Nicola Muccioli, Czech Deputy Minister of Finance and Chair of the Interdepartmental Coordination Group for money laundering and terrorist financing Tomáš Holub, and Czech National Bank Board member Jan Procházka. The high-level exchange was followed by a training session for Czech authorities and the private sector in Prague to familiarise stakeholders with Financial Action Task Force (FATF) standards and methodology and MONEYVAL’s evaluation approach. The training drew more than 195 participants, including representatives from the general prosecutor’s office, financial intelligence unit, law enforcement, judiciary, supervisors, tax and customs authority, the registry of legal entities, self-regulatory bodies and the private sector.

The Committee of Experts on the Evaluation of Anti-Money Laundering Measures (MONEYVAL) has initiated its sixth-round mutual evaluation of Czechia, beginning with a high-level exchange involving key Czech financial and regulatory figures. This was followed by a training session in Prague to acquaint over 195 stakeholders with Financial Action Task Force standards and MONEYVAL’s evaluation methodology.
