The Bank of Italy announced two free, reservation-only public events in Potenza on 9–10 June as the 24th stop of its travelling initiative “In viaggio con la Banca d’Italia”, which aims to promote financial literacy, explain the Bank’s functions and engage with citizens, businesses and other institutions, with a focus on the regional economy of Basilicata. The programme includes a 9 June session on recognising and defending against payment fraud, with contributions from the Guardia di Finanza, the Postal Police, Caritas and the Bank of Italy. The main event on 10 June will present the Bank’s new report on the Basilicata (Lucania) economy, covering recent developments and longer-term trends, followed by roundtables on innovation and the region’s labour-market outlook with participants from Confindustria Basilicata, the Lucanian Aerospace Cluster, Stellantis Italy and the University of Basilicata.
