The National Bank of the Republic of Tajikistan, under a Board decision dated 25 September 2025, introduced 2025-issue “somoni” coins in denominations of 1, 3 and 5 somoni and “diram” coins in denominations of 20 and 50 diram into circulation from 26 September 2025, with the new coins circulating on an equal basis alongside other coins already in circulation.

The National Bank of the Republic of Tajikistan has introduced new 2025-issue coins, including 1, 3, and 5 somoni and 20 and 50 diram denominations, effective 26 September 2025. These coins will circulate alongside existing coins.
