The National Bank of the Republic of Tajikistan held a ceremony to announce the results of the “Best financial credit institution for servicing women entrepreneurs” competition, assessing institutions’ 2024 performance across lending and Islamic finance, attracting deposits from women entrepreneurs, deployment and use of electronic payment tools (POS terminals and QR codes), and projects supporting women entrepreneurs. The initiative is in its third year and is run under the 2023–2025 action plan linked to Tajikistan’s State Programme for the Development of Women’s Entrepreneurship through 2027. In total, 44 financial credit institutions applied and 23 received awards and certificates. Category winners were Sanoatsodirotbonk (lending and Islamic finance), Humo (deposit mobilisation), Alif Bank (POS terminals and QR codes), and Arvand Bank (support projects), with Amonatbonk and Tajikistan Investment and Credit Bank placing second and third in lending, Sanduq and FINCA in deposits, International Bank of Tajikistan and Eskhata Bank in electronic payments, and Imon International and Imkoniyat in support projects. The organising committee also issued additional diplomas and letters of appreciation to several other institutions and presented commemorative gifts to six successful women entrepreneurs.
