The Thailand Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) has been recognised by the Office of the Personal Data Protection Committee as a public sector organisation achieving the highest maturity level in the 2024 Privacy Maturity Model & Index Assessment of personal data protection measures. The assessment covered 10 areas of personal data protection implementation and included 142 public and private sector participants. The SEC’s Data Protection Officer, Assistant Secretary-General Sittasri Nakasiri, accepted the award at the “Data Privacy Day 2025” event, where the SEC also exhibited its collaboration with the Bank of Thailand and the Office of Insurance Commission under a financial sector personal data protection MoU designed to support compliance with personal data protection laws.
