Bank Negara Malaysia launched iTEKAD Employment, a social finance program designed to help individuals from vulnerable communities secure stable employment and income. The program complements iTEKAD’s existing Entrepreneurship and Protection programs and combines skills training, financial education, job placement support and access to financial solutions through participating financial institutions and partner organizations. At the Sasana Symposium 2026, Governor Abdul Rasheed Ghaffour also outlined three aspirations that will guide Bank Negara Malaysia’s forthcoming Financial Sector Blueprint 2027–2030. These are finance for a more resilient society, finance for a more prosperous society and a future-proof Malaysian financial system.
