The Central Bank of the Philippines, through the Financial Sector Forum (FSF), has launched the 2025 “Protect Your Money” (PYM) information campaign to strengthen financial consumer awareness and help combat scams, with an expanded focus on digital channels. Unveiled at the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas head office in Manila on 17 June 2025, the campaign uses the tagline “I am a smart financial consumer” and will distribute guidance via Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, text messages, radio, printed materials in high-traffic areas, and ATM machines. Materials will cover safe transaction practices, scam warning signs, and available redress options. FSF member agencies including the BSP, the Insurance Commission, the Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation, and the Securities and Exchange Commission will take on specific roles in implementation, with the refreshed campaign positioned as an update to PYM’s 2013 launch and its later expansion to address new fraud risks, including through the Financial Products and Services Consumer Protection Act and the Anti-Financial Account Scamming Act.
