The Central Bank of Cyprus has published its second Payment Statistics report, providing an overview of key developments in non-cash payment instruments used in Cyprus and information on the public’s use of payment cards and terminals. The report classifies non-cash transactions into credit transfers, direct debits, payment cards, electronic money payments, cheques and remittances. Data are collected from all payment service providers resident in Cyprus, namely credit institutions, electronic money institutions and payment institutions, and the report is to be published on a semi-annual basis.
