Insurance Payments Guarantee Fund JSC, with support from the Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market of the Republic of Kazakhstan, has launched an online service designed to make it easier for consumers to compare insurance offerings across the market. The insurance products directory is intended to help users identify suitable coverage by providing product information and direct access to insurers’ websites to review detailed terms. The release also reiterates consumer due diligence expectations when signing insurance contracts, including reviewing covered risks and events, the existence of deductibles, and the documentation and timelines required to receive payouts. It notes that consumers may propose changes to voluntary insurance contracts provided these do not contradict Kazakhstan law, and highlights that official links to insurers’ websites are available via the State Credit Bureau JSC website to support online policy issuance. Kazakhstan’s insurance sector is described as comprising 25 companies, including 15 general insurers and 10 life insurers, with product terms set out in insurers’ published insurance rules.
