The Argentina Securities Commission (CNV) reported that its chair, Roberto E. Silva, took part in UK Fintech Week 2025, including a speaking slot at the Global Fintech Forum. In a panel discussion, Silva highlighted the CNV’s work to develop “innovative” crypto regulation and used the programme to promote investment opportunities in Argentina’s capital markets. Silva spoke on the “Visionary Monetary: Perspectives on Fintech and Global Growth” panel alongside senior representatives from the Bank of Italy and the Saudi Central Bank, as well as private-sector participants. His UK engagements also included the Innovative Finance Global Summit, the UK Financial Conduct Authority’s RegTech Forum on supporting innovation and regulatory technology in financial services, and a meeting at the Bank of England with a Central Bank of Argentina director and the Bank’s payments policy team focused on strengthening links and promoting investment through capital markets. Additional events included a UK–Latin America market-connecting programme at Canning House, a Level39 session for Latin American delegations, and an Argentine Embassy event on Argentina’s rise as a technology hub.
