The Central Bank of Egypt reported that annual urban headline inflation rose to 14.9% in July 2026 from 14.3% in June, while annual core inflation increased to 14.7% from 14.3%. Both consumer price measures were unchanged on a monthly basis. Monthly urban headline inflation compared with negative 0.4% in June 2026 and negative 0.5% in July 2025. Monthly core inflation compared with 0.3% in June 2026 and negative 0.3% in July 2025. The bank will publish its monthly inflation analysis on Aug. 15, 2026.
