The Central Bank of Poland (Narodowy Bank Polski) released monetary statistics showing that the M3 money supply rose by PLN 27.6bn in February 2025 to PLN 2,496.7bn, with the increase mainly driven by higher deposits and other claims of households and the local government sector. Household deposits and other claims included in M3 increased by PLN 19.3bn (1.4%) to PLN 1,349.1bn, while local government sector deposits and other claims rose by PLN 16.5bn (17.8%) to PLN 109.6bn. Deposits and other claims of non-financial corporations fell by PLN 9.1bn (1.8%) to PLN 501.8bn. On the lending side, the debt of other financial institutions increased by PLN 8.0bn (3.6%) to PLN 232.2bn; non-financial corporate debt rose by PLN 0.7bn (0.2%) to PLN 422.3bn; and household debt increased by PLN 0.5bn (0.1%) to PLN 798.4bn, while net debt of the central government sector decreased by PLN 0.9bn (0.2%) to PLN 438.1bn.
