The Astana Financial Services Authority and the National Bank of Georgia signed a memorandum of understanding to facilitate mutual access between the Astana International Financial Centre and Georgian financial markets in selected capital markets and asset management activities. The framework covers cross-border financial services and securities listings but does not itself grant access, with practical arrangements for eligible participants still subject to each jurisdiction’s legal and regulatory requirements. The authorities will support greater market connectivity through enhanced supervisory cooperation and information exchange. The agreement builds on their 2018 cooperation framework and advances the Astana Financial Services Authority’s broader focus on mutual recognition, regulatory coordination and practical cross-border market access across Central Asia and the South Caucasus.
