The Angolan Agency for Regulation and Supervision of Insurance (ARSEG) announced the appointment of a liquidation committee for Global Seguros, S.A. to lead the company’s dissolution and liquidation following the revocation of its authorisation to carry on insurance business. The appointment was made under Order No. 029/ARSEG/26 of 20 February, continuing Order No. 028/ARSEG/26 of 20 February that revoked the licence. The liquidation committee is coordinated by Henda Mondlane Ferreira da Silva, with José André Lopes and Mário Xicato as members. Global Seguros must immediately provide the committee with documentation including a provisional alphabetical list of creditors with amounts, due dates, nature and guarantees, a list of pending lawsuits and enforcement actions, information on activities carried out in the last three years, details of assets held under lease or similar arrangements, accounting and financial reporting documents for the last three years (including consolidated accounts where applicable), and a list of employees.
