The Egypt Financial Regulatory Authority has launched a training strategy for the insurance sector, formally kicking off the “Future Leaders Program” to raise professional standards and develop a second line of leaders across Egyptian insurers. Delivery will be led by the Financial Services Institute, the authority’s training arm, in cooperation with insurance companies and international universities and institutes, with a stated focus on preparing the workforce for digital transformation and the impact of artificial intelligence. The Future Leaders Program is provided by the Global Growth Institute and connects participants to the World Class Manager Network. The wider training protocol with insurers spans general and specialised programmes across underwriting, claims, reinsurance, investment, internal audit, finance, risk management, compliance, anti-money laundering and actuarial work, and incorporates accredited courses coordinated with the Egyptian Directors Center, including board, CEO, governance-risk-compliance and risk management certifications. The Institute has also signed a memorandum of understanding with Bayes Business School (University of London) covering leadership in technological transformation, strategic thinking in a digital environment, institutional change strategies and innovative business model design. In parallel, FRA chair Mohamed Farid indicated that the authority is preparing a new decision on insurance company governance in the coming days and is pursuing electronic linkage with insurers to strengthen data systems and operational efficiency.
