The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency has issued a request for information on the key challenges and barriers community banks face in adopting and implementing digital banking solutions, to inform its work to support banks’ safe, sound and fair transition to digital banking. The request is intended to deepen the OCC’s understanding of obstacles affecting community banks’ efforts to modernise operations, enhance customer experience and remain competitive, including issues linked to arrangements with technology providers and maintaining a level playing field. Comments will be accepted for 45 days following publication of the request in the Federal Register.
