The Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation (GLEIF) announced a new Legal Entity Identifier (LEI) mapping initiative with Qichacha (QCC) that creates a certified link between the LEI and the QCC Code. The collaboration will publish monthly open-source mapping files in CSV format. QCC is described as a leading Chinese business information platform with a database of more than 500 million legal entities. GLEIF positions the mapping as a way to increase the international visibility of Chinese companies, support trusted trading relationships, and streamline regulatory reporting and due diligence by strengthening the LEI’s role as a global data connector.
