The Central Bank of Iraq reported that Governor Ali Mohsen Al-Allaq met in Baghdad with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) Iraq Country Executive Director Axel Klabach to review GIZ projects spanning finance, entrepreneurship, skills development and financial infrastructure. The discussions centred on initiatives to strengthen public finances and financial markets (FFM). As part of the FFM programme, the project team, including project manager Tobias Langa and adviser Hussain Al‑Mamouri, outlined measures intended to increase financing and borrowing for small and medium entrepreneurial projects and to facilitate related procedures. Klabach thanked the governor for his role in supporting small and medium enterprises in Iraq through financing and procedural facilitation.
