The Seychelles Financial Services Authority (FSA) issued a scam alert warning investors, licensees and the public about the website metasmarttrade.com, which promotes a company named META SMART TRADE Ltd and claims it is authorised and regulated by the FSA under licence number SD31. The FSA said the entity is not known to the Authority, does not hold a valid licence and is not regulated by the FSA, and the website is not connected to any FSA-licensed or regulated entity. The FSA urged the public to carry out adequate research on entities, service providers and representatives before engaging in business or transactions involving money exchanges or sharing personal details. It also stated it will not be liable if persons continue to engage with, maintain a client relationship with, or use services provided through the referenced website.
