The Federal Reserve Bank of New York’s Board of Directors has appointed Jane Fraser, chair of the board and chief executive officer of Citi, as the New York District’s representative on the Federal Reserve Board of Governors’ Federal Advisory Council for a one-year term that began in January 2026. The Federal Advisory Council comprises one banking industry representative from each of the 12 Federal Reserve districts and consults with the Board of Governors on matters within its jurisdiction. Members ordinarily meet with the Board in Washington, D.C. four times a year to discuss economic and banking developments and make recommendations on Federal Reserve System activities, and customarily serve three one-year terms.
