Argentina's Ministry of Finance reported that Banco de la Nación Argentina (Banco Nación) president Daniel Tillard has notified Economy Minister Luis Caputo of his decision to resign from the role he took up on 26 December 2023. The bank’s current vice president, Darío Wasserman, will assume the position and continue the policies already in place. The announcement cited results during Tillard’s tenure, including the granting of 20,000 mortgage loans and an increase in market share from 12 to 18 points. It also linked the bank’s repositioning to government fiscal solvency policies and efforts to reorganise the Central Bank’s balance sheet, and noted Tillard’s thanks to President Javier Gerardo Milei and Minister Caputo.
